About Amy R. Bento:
A fitness professional for over 18 years, Amy Bento has taught upwards of 6,000 group exercise classes. Her class resume includes: all levels of step, double step, resistance training, hi/lo, kickboxing, slide, Kettlebell™, boot camp, Bosu™, Core Board™ and many more. As a HS and college star athlete, Amy participated in volleyball, basketball and softball where she won many awards in all three sports. Amy’s fitness career began in New Jersey at a small Bally’s Gym where she evolved into an extremely multi-talented instructor and became well known as “the instructor’s instructor.” During the course of her career Amy has many lead master classes, presented at fitness conventions, competed in fitness competitions and volunteered her expertise for charitable fitness events such as March of Dimes, Cancer walks, Hurricane Katrina Releif, Kids in Crisis and more. Over the years, she has directed and coordinated group exercise programs in lower need Fairfield County, Connecticut. Amy currently instructs at The Edge in Norwalk, CT, and Equinox in Darien, CT.
Qualifications: AFPA PT, AFPA Advanced PT, NASM CPT Cramer Emergency Sports Medicine Trainer, Certified Sports Nutritionist, CPR Certified and Certified Renegade Kettlebell Instructor, BA English from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut
