“Amy's the best!  I am 54 years old and have been working out for over 35 years.  For the last five years, I’ve become a big fan of Amy's classes.  I go to the gym six days a week and four of the six are classes with Amy.  Every class is different, fun, and challenging.  For me, it is a challenge to keep up with Amy and to do even better than the younger girls.  Giving up is not a concept, as Amy is always pushing me to go beyond my limits.  It makes me feel good about myself, keeps me healthy, in good shape (very important at my age!) and gives you strength for the ups and downs in everyday life.  Even when traveling, the first things I pack are my running shoes, trying to workout every day, keeping Amy's slogan in mind:  STAY ENERGIZED!  Did I forget to say that it is a lot of fun too?”

“When you gain 40 pounds of pregnancy weight, you really feel that you have a battle with the bulge.  The days that your body will fit in those slimming jeans seem long gone.  I have always been athletic in my life, so it was difficult for me to accept the changes of my body and the weight I gained after the birth of my first child.  I had a tough labor and delivery, which resulted in an emergency C-section.  So emotionally I felt like my body would never fully recover from the surgery.  I decided that I needed to shake up my exercise routine in order to get off the weight and feel better about myself.

Jumping back into exercising with Amy’s programs definitely provided the shock my body needed to transform mentally and physically.  What I liked was that her advanced programs could be modified to my level of fitness.  And that is what I needed since my muscles were weak.  I was able to work up my cardio stamina with her step classes and enjoyed the extra push of cardio “power ups.”  My stomach muscles separated during pregnancy, a condition called diastasis recti, so, it was very difficult for me to do a basic crunch.  Her abdominal segments helped heal and strengthen my muscles.  Her combination of cardio intervals and strength training added variety to my regimen and gave me a total body workout.  I like her unique ways of weight training, using dumbbells but also balance balls, resistance bands and weight plates. 

Loving Amy’s programs is what keeps me motivated!  Being challenged everyday lures me to come back.  Amy’s positive attitude gives you the confidence to continue pushing forward and staying committed.  I’ve seen results from her programs and an increase in my physical progression.  I was able to reach my goal of getting back into my favorite pair of jeans.  Thanks Amy!”

“I was told by a few members to try one of Amy’s classes.  It was summer, 2001, and I had been recently hired at the club as an instructor.  I heard that she was really tough and that some even called her ‘Crazy Amy.’  Being overly-critical (as most instructors are) I doubted that she would give me a run for my money, as very few teachers ever had.  As I was waiting for class to begin, I giggled to myself because it looked like Workout Barbie had come to life and walked through the door.  This couldn’t be her…was it?  Yes, it was.  Being an athlete and a tomboy (and maybe a tad judgmental) I thought to myself, oh boy, I am not going to like this woman.  Well, I must admit that it didn’t even take a full count of eight before I decided that there was no way I couldn’t like Amy.  She was amazing. 

I could go on for days about the music and choreography and why it’s so great, but that’s not what stood out to me.  This woman absolutely loved her job and genuinely cared for all of the people there.  She didn’t constantly stare at herself in the mirror or worry about using the class as a means for her own uninterrupted workout.  Amy walked around, checked and corrected form when necessary, and always offered optimistic advice and encouragement to individuals and to the group as a whole.  I was, and continue to be, impressed by Amy and her magnetic personality.  Before I knew it, I became sucked in and consequently addicted to her spirit.

The best way for me to describe Amy as a fitness professional is by calling her ‘the instructor’s instructor.’  She is the voice I choose to listen to when I’m tired of hearing myself talk, and she is the one who sparks my creativity when I feel like I’ve run out of material.  I thrive on those who think outside the box and live to help others achieve goals – that is exactly who Amy is.  If someone can’t get a move in class or someone is having weight-loss issues, Amy makes it her problem too and will work with you to resolve it. 

Having been a dear friend to me for years now, I can truthfully say that Amy is one of the great, gifted ones who will steamroll, bulldoze, and NRGize her way into your heart.  She was born to do this.  Get down girl!”

“There are two things that make Amy Bento unique as a fitness instructor.  The first is her ability to choreograph.  She is able to put together amazing choreography that challenges even the most seasoned exercisers both physically and psychologically.  There is never a dull moment because you have to constantly think about what your feet and your arms are doing (yes, she even puts in arm choreography).

The second thing that puts Amy in a different league is her unyielding energy.  She could give the Energizer Bunny™ a run for his money!  It does not matter how far into her class she is; she still gives 110% and encourages participants to do the same.
